Aristo Forged
A mobile app that lets car owners preview how different Aristo Forged wheels look on their car. Users can upload a photo of their vehicle, browse wheel collections, place wheels accurately on the image, adjust sizing/alignment, and purchase directly from the app. The entire app was designed for landscape use to give users a wider working canvas.
01
Problem Statement
Car owners often struggle to visualise how aftermarket wheels will look on their car before purchasing. The brand needed a simple, intuitive mobile app where users could try wheels virtually, reduce buying hesitation, and experience the product visually without visiting a showroom.
02
Competitive Research & Analysis
I conducted a quick heuristic review of existing wheel-customisation websites and car-modification apps available then.
Most competitors had cluttered interfaces, lacked proper controls for precise wheel placement, or were not optimised for landscape interaction.
This helped shape the decision to design a clean, landscape-first interface with simple drag-and-drop controls, wheel rotation options, and minimal UI distractions.
03
Solution
A landscape-mode mobile app with a streamlined visualisation workflow:
Upload or capture a car photo
Choose wheels from the Aristo Forged catalog
Drag, resize, rotate, and position wheels with intuitive touch controls
Save and compare looks
Proceed to inquiry or purchase
The UI focused on clarity, precision tools, and an immersive, photo-based visual experience.

Learnings & Reflection
Designing for landscape-first mobile UX required unique layout decisions for controls and canvas space.
Working with real car imagery highlighted the need for precise, simple manipulation tools.
The project reinforced the value of lightweight competitive analysis, even when data is limited, to avoid reinventing common problems.
Collaboration with developers improved my understanding of icon sizing, asset export, and responsiveness across screen resolutions.
